Xbox 360 is the
second video game console produced by Microsoft. Xbox, the biggest
competitor for the Sony PlayStation in the market for the seventh
generation of video game consoles. The most significant feature is
that Xbox has Xbox Live, which lets players compete online and allow
users to download arcade games. However many users have reported
bugs in the Xbox 360 and sometimes users report that they have not
been able to turn the Xbox 360. The error occurs on the Xbox 360 is
called as "red light" error.
The error occurs due to malfunction of the Xbox 360 and there is a
mechanism under the console to intimate the user about the error.
The various types of error codes are designed to signify the user of
the malfunction of the console. There are two ways to indicate the
error console
1. Displaying the error code on the screen.
2. Bright red colored lights on the Ring of power
The power ring is composed of LED lights surrounding the power
button. The errors that occur can be differentiated using the number
of LED lights that illuminate the region's power ring. The number of
lights illuminated depends on the error that has occurred in the
console.
Three Red Lights Error
This is a common error that occurs on the Xbox 360. The types of
errors that occur red light on the console are only red light error,
two red lights three red lights and four red lights error. But only
two and four red lights error occur because of loose cable
connections or some minor problems. The three red lights error
occurs due to malfunction of any hardware in the console.
The causes of the Three Red Lights Error
The main cause of this error is due to overheating of the components
of hardware. As a result of the motherboard of the console could not
conduct their operations properly. This causes the console to hang
in the center of the game and all unsaved data are lost. This red
light error is also known as "Red Ring of Death".
Solution to error, Red Lights
The single, two and four red lights error can be easily solved by
the control cable connections to the console. The three red light
error that occurs due to overheating problem can be solved only by
the cooling systems to bring more to the console to maintain a
stable temperature. Heat sinks that are provided in the Xbox is
equipped with a processor with the help of an X-Clamp, which helps
keep the heat sink for the processor. By removing the X-Clamp can
fix the heat sink directly to the processor of the Xbox 360 and even
provides ventilation to cool the processor from below.
