If you have
been hit by the Red Ring of Death, then you need to get your Xbox
360 fixed and there are a wide number of ways to achieve this. There
are also a huge number of sites out there offering you so-called
information for various prices that will either not work or will
damage your Xbox 360 even more than it already is. For examples, the
Towel method is currently coming highly recommended, the idea being
that you wrap your Xbox in a towel and then just let it run until it
overheats, as this should melt the broken components back together,
thereby fixing them. Of course, heating your unit up this much can
completely destroy the motherboard which means you will then have to
completely replace your Xbox 360. At that point repairs are no
longer an option.
You can also open up the unit and get going with a soldering gun to
put various components back together again. However, doing this
requires some experience and knowledge of a soldering gun, as if you
solder the wrong bits together you will end up with permanent
problems.
Lastly you can try sending your unit to Microsoft, which actually
has turned out to be the most unreliable way of getting your unit
fixed. It takes ages, is a difficult process to get through and if
your Xbox 360 is no longer under warranty it will cost you a
fortune. Apart from that Microsoft generally only fixes the Ring of
Death temporarily, which means that when you get your system back
after two months of waiting, a little while later you have to go
through the same thing all over again.
This is why I am now going to present you with the only really
repair option for the Ring of Death. You can do this yourself at
home in less than an hour and it won’t cost you a penny. It doesn’t
matter if you don’t have any technical knowhow or experience because
this really is incredibly simple to do. You just need a screw driver
so that you can open up your system and make an adjustment to the
cooling unit inside. You will never have the Ring of Death problem
again, and the videos which come with the repair guide will walk you
through every step of the process so that you can get back to your
gaming in record time.
